Quick Observation
- 25-45cm of fisting blower on nearly impenetrable crust. - S2-S3 from 930 am til we left at 430. - Skied as high as ~2150m, crust was strong all the way up. - Mod wind at ridge crests, did not get to proper ridge top to feel the full power. - sluffing in steep terrain
Avalanche Information
F- blower sluffing in steep terrain, on bullet proof crust. Other than small soft (4F-1F) wind slabs, the only movement we saw was sluff in steep terrain.
Weather
S2-S3 (skin track had ~10 cm covering it on second lap after we joined it after 2.5-3 hr). Didnt really get to proper ridge top to feel wind, drifts up to thigh deep on ridge crests at ~2100m. Snow all the way to VB.
