Ogden Bench

We headed toward Ogden Bench to see if recent snow had covered some of the debris to get to the alpine. It had not. Everything was still pretty lumpy, maybe there's a way through to the alpine if you're more ambitious than us but we decided it wasn't worth it. There was significant wind effect on the lake and anywhere that wasn't a debris field, presumably in the alpine as well but it was difficult to assess from the lake. A wide size 2 wind slab had also come down naturally from below Mount Ogden. We made our exit through Paget Glades on a wide variety of snow conditions including but not limited to: refreeze, breakable sun crust, unbreakable sun crust, dust on crust and deep powder.
