Mt.Skelly

Cedar Jasiuk

Skiing from 2200m to 1600m was Ok. A lot less wind affected on the South aspect then expected. 1600m to valley bottom the skiing was great. Treeline and below there were some really good turns. Around 1900m in areas with shallow snowpack we found widespread facets at ground level. We found a suncrust on South aspects around 1000m. This was covered by about 10-15cm of new snow. North aspects there was no evidence of sun crust.

Snow conditions were: Powder. Weather conditions were: Sunny. We rode: Alpine slopes, Mellow slopes, Open trees. We avoided: Steep slopes. Riding quality was good.
