Cool Breeze and cloudy!

We took the skis for a sled ride in Elkford today and we saw: 1) We found about 10-15 cm of recent storm snow over old temperature crusts….and a snowpack depth of over 200 cm at treeline. 2) Recent dry loose avalanche activity….expect these to be wet loose avalanches tomorrow when it is warmer and sunnier 3) Cornices overhanging lee slopes…sun and warm temperatures can weaken them and increase the likelihood they could fall 4) A muddy parking lot but great snow on the groomed trail in from Round Prairie

Weather conditions were: Windy. Riding quality was ok.
