Mt Robert Smith

Whumpfing and a profile on a south aspect that gave a sudden collapse result on a 3 cm layer of facets below a thin crust down 55 cm kept us away from steep solar aspects.
We continued to note slab avalanches in steep terrain from the previous storm, but we don't believe any of them released in response to warm weather.
The group ahead of us on the approach to Mt Robert Smith did a great job of moving one at a time to minimize their exposure to a south facing slope above. Great to see!
Skied steep north aspect terrain with sluffing but no slab avalanche releases.
