Warm sunny day 7C, no refreeze overnight meant very sticky snow travel. Everything is tracked out. Didn't find any powder, just 10cm wet soft snow over a crust. Not the best ridding conditions.
Dug a full depth pit to ground as part of AST2 course. Slight surface hoar. Hard crust at 10cm. No problematic layers found. 1 finger hardness at top transitioning to pencil hardness at base. No facets observed.
