We headed up Olivia Creek and found 15 cm of dry but dense snow from the recent storm above 1450 m. We didn't see or experience as many signs of instability as we expected. We dug a test pit at 2100 m and and were not getting any snowpack test results. There was some wind affected snow at treeline and above, but when you got off your skis you would still sink up to your crotch in many places. We skied some bigger terrain one at a time today, but worked the run carefully to avoid likely trigger points like big convexities.
