Lewis Hills

Travel in the hills was crusty and wind packed. It stayed colder up there then forecasted today, with overcast and flat light.
A couple new size 1 slab avalanches on East facing slopes. They failed on top of the last significant rain crust, 20-60cm deep in the places we poked.
We had consistent, moderate Compression Test results, in our similar E facing pit, on this crust.
Our test also showed a reactive 10cm surface slab, that was pretty touchy, but did not show much in the way of propagation, in this one pit.
Winds were picking up by mid day, and we were out early in the early afternoon.
