Northwest Inland

Beautiful day in north bowl. Poked up with the intent of seeing how things were filling in (p.s. there is still a lot of work to be done). to our surprise one of the north facing lines didn’t appear to be wind effected and had just enough snow to avoid the sharks. We ended up skiing the crooked chute on lookers left as you ascend the basin (if it doesn’t already have a name dog leg couloir seems fitting). Approaching from the top down, this is one of the only routes without a 4-8ft cornice above it right now; however, you’re not home free — there is a convex role above a thin rocky section at the beginning of the put in. Skiing wise, The Snow was much better than expected given the state of everything else in the bowl. Slightly chalky at the top from wind deposit however no signs of instability. The Wind has touched most everything else and has left a dense skin making skiing about as subprime as a 2009 mortgage. There was evidence that a few of the larger chutes had slide within the last few days. Throughout the day 20-40km Winds were transporting over the ridge from the SW.
