Sun is warm. Wind in the alpine

Sun is strong enough already that despite the cold temps and intermittent cloud coverage, solar slopes got a zipper crust over the course of the day today, at least up to 1200m. Evidence of strong wind in the alpine during the storm – see picture of wind features in Thunder Bowl (E/SE). Little to no natural avalanche activity observed in Zola, Monkey Bowl, Geronimo basin, or anywhere. Observed one small skier triggered crown on the steep roll above Fayzurs on the Dome.
