Hero's Knob with a side of Purple

A gorgeous day of touring around Purple Knob and exiting out sweet 16.
About 15cm of light new snow sits on top of a very firm crust. It skied anywhere from OK to good. Sharpen your edges, you occasionally punch down to the crust. A lot of sluffing off of steeper features, but we didn't see anything propagate very far. The old avi debris from a couple of weeks ago skis like frozen poo.
Ski crampons are not mandatory but they made the up track a whole lot more enjoyable.
A big shout out to Kananaskis parks crew Darren and Donald, who busted in the boot pack up purple knob for us. I didn't realize my park conservation pass included bootpack service!
