Summit Creek kinda day.

We sledded up into Summit Creek today. Above 1300m there is 5-`10cm of soft powder on top of hard surfaces in this area. Below 1300m it was pretty crusty in the morning but had softened slightly by the afternoon on our way out. The run we skied was over hung by large cornices so we did our best to choose a route that minimized our time under these cornices. We saw vast amounts of terrain from our summit vantage and did not observe any avalanches. We dug a pit at 1400m but had no significant results in snowpack tests. A very strong snowpack at this spot.
