Great skiing on Athabasca today with a very solid spring snowpack. Good overnight recovery with a supportive crust to the base of the ramp that was well intact and producing corn on steep SE when we skied down at 9:30. Above this elevation ~10cm of faceted snow overlies old surfaces and crusts and is producing fast running stuffs with skiier traffic in steep terrain. Coverage is great on the glacier, and there is very little bare ice on the Silverhorn. Several parties skied the skyladder today as well.
