Overall ride quality was good but snow quality was variable and wet overall. Near the bottom lay about 5-10cm over a crust and refrozen tracks. Mid and near the top, there were some crusty areas with denser/wetter/grabbier snow underneath where trees were less dense and let solar through. In areas less affected by solar, snow generally felt heavy but surfy. Winds really picked up near the top, generally coming from the southeast. A storm of wet snow started when we departed at 12:30pm. By the time we got back to our vehicle at 2pm, at least 4cm fell on it during our short 1.5 hrs day trip. Temperatures started at 1 C at 12:30pm and went down to 0 C by the time we returned at 2pm. Precip continued down the mountain and transitioned to rain at around the Cypress Provincial Park Picnic Area.
