Starting the day on a fairly supportive melt freeze crust below tree line. There was a trace of new snow on the ground and temperature at the car in the morning was -7. We traveled across steep alpine solar slopes and observed fresh snow (1-5 cm) redistributed on top of breakable solar crust from the last week. North alpine slopes offered a mix of wind swept surfaces and pleasant soft turns in the more sheltered areas. No new natural avalanches or signs of instability observed today.

Snow conditions were: Crusty, Wind affected. Weather conditions were: Cloudy, Cold, Sunny. We rode: Alpine slopes, Convex slopes, Steep slopes, Sunny slopes. Riding quality was ok.
