No sign of instability were noticed when we did our compression test at 1930m, 55cm of new unsettled snow over the early December weak layer. But this is going to change as the strong wind was already starting to affect the new snow on lee side. Watch out for wind loaded slope in the upcoming days. Snowpack was at 125cm on the ridge (still below Kootenay standard, but we can confirm that the core shot season is finally over).
