<p>Plan A was to run Hero’s Knob Loop but bailed due to the commitment level and higher than anticipated winds the previous night and this morning. Landed at Plan B - Burstall to stretch the legs and poke around in less committing terrain for the first ski of the year. Steady winds made for a lot of moving snow where simple hand shears on wind loaded aspects produced easy/moderate pulls of blocks 50-60cm deep. Stayed low and skied mellow slopes protected from the wind.
Caution on following others skin tracks in the area. Lots of tracks cutting below large slide paths vs taking a few steps up into the forest while gaining the higher ground</p>
