Avalanche Information

Saw probably 20 avalanches that had come down yesterday on the north east facing slopes up the cushing valley. Quite a few started just under cornices and ran to valley bottom. A few triggered other avalanches along the slide path and picked up more snow. Saw quite a few fracture lines midway down the slopes in open trees/cliffs aswell. Looked at southwest facing slopes with binoculars and didn’t see any signs of recent avalanches.

Snowpack

Dug a pit at around 1800M, right side up snow, no results in our extended column test. Uneven break on the last hit of a regular column test down 45cm. Really nice conditions up to 2000M where we turned around as we were ready for fun and were noticing some wind slabs and the ridges above were blown bare and rocky.
