Had an amazing day skiing today. The 20cm or so at the car quickly became 40-45cm as we gained elevation and it was snowing and blustery causing a constant refill. Dug a couple hand shears as we went up, the new snow was bonding very well all we really found was a 2-5cm low density windskin but due to its low density it wasn’t very spooky and skied great but I wouldn’t be surprised if it becomes a little bit more of a layer with more wind. We saw some small fracture lines on unsupported steeper features higher above us but they were all isolated to funky steep areas and barely ran or propagated at all. By the end of the day the windskin layer was getting to be a bit more pronounced lower down on the run where it was less sheltered.
