Quick Observation

Spent some time examining the snow pack not far from Fernie Alpine Resort Near Lost Boys Pass. 1700m, South East aspect, 30 degree slope. Breakable Crust on top of the snowpack on Friday foot pen 35cm, 0cm on Saturday as crust got stronger. Crust Layer 75cm down in the snowpack covered by large storm 2 weeks ago would be difficult to trigger in that location, but showed strong propagation potential in my PST. PST10/100 End down 75. Had Resistant Planar Fractures and Progressive Compressions at many different locations in the upper snow pack, none of which showed strong propagation potential, they were mostly observed during Medium Taps in Column Tests.
