Quick report
Plenty of snow remaining along Forestdale Rd from Red Lake. Until my 3pm departure, undisturbed snow was supportable if I kept both skis on the snow, gave gentle throttle input, or walked carefully. This was due to 4-6" of refreeze that was in the process of weakening, above unconsolidated wet snow. If I tipped the sled onto one ski, hit the throttle hard, or walked without care, I could break through the supportable surface and into the unconsolidated snow underneath.
Many cornices in the area were still big and overhung, and one glide crack on Elephants Graveyard was opening up.
Afternoon clouds built and produced some light rain to my high point of 8900ft, and given the warm temperatures I'm fairly confident it was raining much higher.
Natural wet loose activity appeared to be a few days old, and none was big enough to harm a person without a terrain trap present.

Afternoon cloud buildup including dark convective clouds that eventually produced some light rain right at my 3pm departure. No lightning or thunder observed but the clouds looked threatening.
