Great skiing on all aspects (with the right timing). Wet loose avalanches and small wind slabs in steep terrain were our primary concerns. Watch out for refrozen rollerballs and chicken heads from the recent big warm up....they are firm and icy! In places the end-March crust (created by the heatwave) is quite icy and difficult to edge...this seems like it has been more of a problem on steep solar margins (E and W).

We triggered several meaty D1.5 wet loose avalanches in steep terrain. These would have been difficult to escape if they had caught you by surprise. In a few places these slides flanked out as thin slabs as they descended. The largest slide looked like it may have been on pace to become a D2 but the debris got slowed down and hung up in a refrozen rollerball/chicken head field. This was an upper elevation problem for us today, there was not enough new snow at lower and middle elevations for this issue. We did not see signs of any sizeable natural wet loose activity.
