Quick report

3-5" new on the rain effected snow, lots of runnels and easy pole penetration to 125cm. The sun tried to come out but never succeeded. Snowfall varied in intensity throughout the short mid day tour. It felt like things were setting up and I couldn't get anything to move with snowballs and cautious ski cuts on the steep slopes near 5 minute trees, but due to flat light, challenging snow and recent natural activity, I followed my skin track down, tail tucked between my legs.

Widespread natural wet slabs around 5000', some starting zones as low as 30 degrees. Visibility was poor but it didn't look like the slides gouged very deeply, they did run far however.
