Quick report
During an extended column test, we experienced a fracture and propagation within the storm now about 30 cm. down from the surface. We experienced another fracture with propagation about 63 cm. down from the surface, near the bottom of the storm snow. We did not get a fracture at the crust. No obvious signs of instability while hiking or skiing, but there were at least a few inches of new snow.

Snowpack
Overall snow height was 135 cm. Soft, light new snow at the surface became gradually denser into a fairly consolidated slab of new snow from the past seven days. That sat above a hard rain crust from before the storm cycle the weekend after Christmas. Another firm slab sat beneath that crust, with near-ground facets beneath the slab.
