Quick report

Skied the SW Chute of Mount Adams 13 Jun 26. Weather was full sun, no clouds overnight, mid 40s. Approach shoes from the south climb parking lot. Transition to boots and skins at 6.5k. snow was very firm, used ski crampons from 6.5 - 9.5k. Boot crampons from 9.5k to the summit. Skied from the summit at noon. Upper section was firm to slightly underripe corn. SW chute was near perfect corn with the top slightly firm and the bottom slightly soft. Beware rockfall on skier's left. A few small rollerballs noted skiers right. The traverse back to the ascent route requires many transitions across bands of scree, beware of overhead rock fall and budget extra time.
