Quick report

Sunny, high 30's and breezy with 20-30 mph winds. We observed signs of windloading on the upper portion of the east facing aspect (backside) of Mt. Judah. Cornices cut by Sugar Bowl Ski Patrol along the ski area boundary (Mr. Judah ridge) set off small sluffs but no obvious crowns were observed. We did not experience any cracking or whumpfing. We dug a pit which required digging to 6 feet to find the Feb 10 facet layer. See picture. We observed significant consolidation of the snowpack on aspects that received sun over the last 2-3 days.
