Quick report
We headed up eldo approach to climb and ski some peaks in the fresh snow in eldo zone. We found 8”-18” fresh snow above interstorm crust. Crust went away above 5k’, but felt denser interstorm layer still. Snow was more reactive than we expected, with storm snow shooting cracks from skinner starting from boulder field. We saw evidence of natural loose dry and possibly wind slab avalanches up to D1.5. Active wind loading from moderate W winds. Do to avalanches being worse than we expected we didn’t think our objectives would go and decided to bail before crossing into rouche basin. CRR is clear of blowdowns to eldo TH
