We skied west and southwest aspects off of Observation subpeak. Variable crusty and wind affected snow made for hooky skiing in the alpine. Ok snow found at treeline and in mellow sheltered terrain.
Found breakable suncrust down ~5-10cm on solar alpine and treeline slopes and noticed surface snow becoming moist and rollerballing in the afternoon. Broken skies with light-moderate W/NW winds and trace precip all day.
In the afternoon we noticed debris from recent sz 1.5 windslab in steep easterly alp above Bow Summit running down into the fans.
Attached photos of Bow Summit and Jimmy Junior, both look pretty skied out.
