Mount Ogden Benches

Ventured out on our first tour of the season to Ogden Benches, also our first time in this area. Sweet area to get the ski legs back and wake the glutes up on the skin track. Dug a pit on a easterly aspect around 12pm. Elevation 1950m. HS 110cm. Incline 23 degrees. Results- CTE 1 (SC) down 12cm. CTE 9 (SC) Down 30cm. We also observed a size 1.5/2 avalanche on our way out at 3pm from the ridge of Mount Ogden, see photo for location (taken on our way up before the avalanche) Possibly caused by cornice release.
