Narao Shoulder Shrubbery

Variable snowpack BTL from 50-75cm HS. The name of the game was “shrubbery” and how to not be eaten by them. The Nov. 9th rain crust was ~1cm thick and knife hardness, semi supportive to skiing and variable. Good skin track has been established in the area. Need more snow!
Snow conditions were: Crusty, Powder. Weather conditions were: Cold, Sunny. We rode: Mellow slopes, Dense trees, Open trees. Riding quality was ok.
Snowpack
Dug a quick pit for layer observation. NW aspect BTL, 30° slope, temp -11°C at 3pm , HS 60-75cm due to variable ground vegetation/cover. Early October crust @ 35cm with 3mm facets below to ground. From Oct crust to Nov 9 rain crust (~1cm thick @45cm, knife hardness), ~1mm facets. Above Nov 9 crust, more facets - classic!!
