Very similar observations to the other group up today, but of note a more recent size 1/1.5 @1600m that on investigation failed down 55cm on some 5mm surface hoar. (Pic #1) Poking around at and above that elevation was able to pick preserved SH out in multiple hand shears. Pic #3 is from a NE aspect 1750m, wind exposed bump.

Snow conditions were: Deep powder. Weather conditions were: Wet, Warm. We rode: Mellow slopes. We avoided: Steep slopes, Convex slopes.

Avalache Conditions: 30cm + of new snow, or significant drifitng, or rain in the last 48 hours. Slab avalanches today or yesterday.
