Winds seem to have redistributed the recent storm snow and have created a very stiff wind slab resulting in variable conditions on all aspects of the alpine in Smoker's Bowl and area. Treeline and below treeline skied fairly well where it was sheltered from the wind.
Avalanche Information
Skied a convex slope and triggered a small (size 0.5 to 1) avalanche. The avalanche consisted of a stiff windslab overlying an older crust, which produced activity (moderate sluffing) on small steep convexities.
