Snow from the past couple of weeks has improved sledding in the Pine Pass, though it's still low for January. We were careful to assess how that new snow was bonding to previous surfaces as well as reacting to recent temperature changes. We used small features to test the snow and found 40cm of loose snow with no slab properties that made for fun riding. Stormy conditions prevented us from seeing into the Alpine and stepping out into bigger terrain.
