A week of souteasterly winds remodeled the snow at Arctic Valley. This "remodeling" seems to involve some thievery because the overall snowpack is less deep then the start of the week. Snow depths are exposed ground to 100cm was the deepest spot measured. Snow structure is upside down (fist hardness facets on ground) with wind slabs of varying hardness overlying this layer. Another layer to keep an eye on was a layer of facets 20cm from the surface sitting on stiffer windslab. That said there is a tremedous amount of spacial variability in depth and connectedness of layers. Ski quality involved a little soft snow and a lot of breakable crust and berry crushing.
