Toured up Cornbiscuit for a south-facing lap before touring up to Goldpan and Super Bowl. Found generally soft snow on the Cornbiscuit uptrack, with icy scoured sections along the NW corner. South Cornbiscuit had consistent, low density snow, but terrain options are limited by a monster glide crack that is actively creeping and opening wide up. Sluffs ran relatively fast but were not deep enough to catch a skier. Once further up the valley, the snow on Cornbiscuit’s south face (closer to Goldpan) looked progressively worse with wind effect and scouring. Numerous buried glide cracks could be seen on the corner of Cornbiscuit as you climb towards Goldpan. Found some wind effect and small wind slabs in the sunny bowl below Goldpan held mostly soft snow on the section we skied. Some sections had an 2-3 inch deep wind “skin” that was cohesive. Cornices are very large. Did not experience collapsing, whumphing, or other signs of instability.
