Pleasant temperatures over 9k', very cold still at lower elevations this morning. There was a thin but noticeable layer of surface hoar present even in wind-exposed terrain this morning at 7:30am up to 9900'. Where snow was not wind affected, this layer layer added some loudness to the powder. Still plenty of soft turns to be had in protected N facing terrain.

Instability Comment

Lots of wind affected snow (both scoured and loaded, but mostly scoured and seemingly from all directions) on the Raymond shoulder, going maybe 100' down the N facing side of the ridge, well into the trees.
