Headed into the northern Swan to confirm Low Danger. Validated. 

• Observed no signs of instability. No collapsing, no cracking, and no recent avalanches.
• 6 inches of settled snow rests on a variety of firm surfaces. 
• Ski cuts on steep leeward slopes along the crest of the Swan produced no avalanches other than very minimal sluffing. 
• We observed no evidence of recent wind-drifted snow in this drainage of the Swan. 
• Intermittent periods of solar radiation warmed the surface enough to glop up under skis. 

With no signs of instability, we chose to ski steep terrain one at a time.
