Quick report
We rode around in the Leavitt Lake zone and encountered unusually warm temps and soft punchy snow on east facing slopes. Leavitt Lake snotel site only reached down to 46 degrees F overnight. Northerly aspects above treeline remained fairly firm with just a bit of softening during afternoon hours (boot pen 1-2 inches). We did not observe any recent wet-loose avalanche activity.
Several overhanging cornices remain intact, guarding steep terrain above Leavitt Lake.
Leavitt Lake road is melting quickly, with some short bare dirt sections showing.

Snowpack
We dug on a north aspect at 9700' and found that wet/moist snow was limited to near the surface at this location. Several ice layers were present above 2/10 facets and are providing barriers to new melt water reaching down to the facets. (see photo)
