Quick report
Dug a pit on a N aspect at 3600’. HS 210. 25cm of new snow with temperature crust below it. Firm snow (1F) from 25-100cm down. ECTN 15 25cm down ECTP 23 60cm down Weak layer was not clearly identifiable in snow profile, but propagation in test was very clean. Our takeaway was that this slope had potential to generate a hard slab avalanche. We bailed on our plan to ski terrain with a 35+ degree rollover, despite quality cold snow on the surface.
