Quick report
HS ~180cm Skied north facing trees between 26 and 35 degrees in the sherwins (8000-9800ft). No visible signs of instability observed today, though previous crowns were visible. Dug a pit to the ground. ECTN 18, fractured but did not propagate on the 2/19 interface. The 2/10 interface was buried ~100cm deep, and did not react in both the ECT or a Deep Column Test. First ~10cm were fist hard snow on top of ~90cm of finger hard snow, above a ~5cm layer of fist hard facets (2/10 layer). Starting around 9am, the snow was cold everywhere. At 11am, the ski descent was powdery and cold, while the second lap just an hour later was much wetter and more gloppy. Wind was gusting quite heavily at times (SW) and signs of transport were visible.
