Rode northern aspects of White Queen. Northern Trees were bombing up there. Snow was powdery in the steeps until about 1850 but got warmer as the day progressed. Didn’t super look like south and west aspects really softened too much because of wind and developing clouds.

Snow conditions were: Heavy, Powder. Weather conditions were: Cloudy, Sunny, Windy. We rode: Open trees, Steep slopes. We avoided: Alpine slopes. Riding quality was ok.

Avalache Conditions: Rapid temperature rise to near zero degrees or wet surface snow.
