First party of a few up Granddaddy this morning, warm temps with no wind and several cornices overhead had me sweating more than a nun in a strip club. Decided to start early ~715am and thankfully the sun never shone directly on the fan while we were up there. Stability was bomber however moguls are starting to form just below the split in the lower couloir. Still some light powder to be had but i cant imagine the last dude who skiied it today had much to work with as we passed 10+ people on the way out. Skiing was excellent on the fan with powder however anything below the bench was extremely heavy and crusty at 11am. Moral of the story is start early and if you're willing to bootpack up below people who are skiing you should accept that you will get hit with death cookies and sluff.
Snow conditions were: Crusty. Weather conditions were: Cloudy, Sunny, Warm. We rode: Alpine slopes, Steep slopes. Riding quality was good.
