We tip-toed onto the overhead slope that funnels into holy cow in the morning and the surface released with a slab fracture. It was only a few cm thick and low cohesion, but it quickly gained mass and was running fast and far.
I then stepped on a touchy cornice at the top of the run and it easily released as a block a bit larger than a refrigerator. It stopped near the end of the fan and didn't trigger anything else other than more sluff.
We went back a couple hours later and the start zone got refilled. Sluffing was more intense on the second run, and I triggered another small slab half way down the chute after my partner had already skied down (4th track in that run today). It was a small cookie about 15cm deep, maybe 2m wide, cracked above me, and then more sluff, but very light.
