Storm skiing day on Zoa Peak. It was snowing pretty hard all day and plenty of wind loading too. The snow over the last week has really added up. When I took off my skis to transition, I sunk up to my waist.
Observed that a skier caused a slab to slide on a northeast facing roll. No natural avalanches were observed. With the heavy loading of new snow, stayed away from 30°+ slopes, and stuck to meadow skipping.
