Tryst Chutes

Slow travel with most old tracks completely covered and some breakable crust under new snow.

Snow was fairly moist and was sticking readily to skis and was fairly heavy during travel. Winds were visible at ridge top when visibility improved for short periods and drifting could be seen in eastern lee areas opposite us on Tent Ridge. Photo from the Spray/Dorien road at 2:45pm

Dug a pit at 2050m on a north aspect, 35 deg slope. Had a CTE5-7 (over 3 tests) with a resistant planar character on a crust 25cm down. Snow was falling all day, with 10cm of fresh over 5hrs.
