Quick Observation

Lots of traffic on the conventional Surprise pass tour from Friday, but still good turns were had on the way down today. However, the real goods were on the couloirs after the pass. Deep boot packing over the Dec crust. No signs of instabilities, although sluff on way down did accelerate (but didn’t carry significant mass). Minimal wind effect in the couloir made for knee deep turns. Slight wind skin near the top out (as you’d expect) that popped the top 10cm of wind transport from today. No natural loose dries per those reported in Kindergarten in a previous MIN. No water on the lake on the skin back.
