Took the skis for a walk up boulder creek. At treeline, the strong winds from Wednesday had littered the snow in pinecone debris, an early indication of the wind-scoured landscape above. In the alpine, we found up to 10cm wind slabs with facets below as well as boilerplate hard slabs that had the propensity to whumpf and settle in low angle terrain. 60cm's of unconsolidated snow below treeline made for an enjoyable ski out the mining road. -24 at 1600m with moderate winds from the North and overcast conditions.
