I've covered a bunch of ground in the past few days and seen nothing but a solid looking snowpack in the western Uinta's... good news!

- <p> </p> <p>I think steep, rocky, complex terrain or slopes that avalanched near the ground earlier this season are about the only places you're gonna buy an avalanche today.</p> <p> </p> <p>Not particularly problematic at this juncture, but a crust/facet sandwhich is now buried about a foot deep. We need to see how things materialize, especially with a storm on the way and surface snow growing weak on sheltered north facing slopes</p>
