While the Wasatch was going off yesterday the Uintas snowpack seemed to be better behaved. Today as temps climbed a bit more things started to get more reactive. I didn’t see any big avalanches by Uintas standards. I did see a few small wind pockets on east facing slopes as well as some soft slabs on southeast facing slopes near rocks where the heating was more intense. There were both naturals as well as sled triggered slides.

Snowpack

On the sheltered north through east facing slopes the snow stayed cold and light. On more exposed terrain the surface snow started to get a littler more wet. Overall this is the best riding we've had in a long time.
