Quick Observation

Lots of wind affected snow all over. Strong winds were constant all day during ski touring. Total height of snow was 186 at our pit, but we just did the top 100 cm for the profile. 15m above our pit in an exposed area, where it was quite windy, we probed an got 116cm. (Snow pit software (image) was set for 100 cm at top at 0 at base. Hopefully that doesn't confuse)

Weather

Wind blowing all day. Lots of blowing snow. Could not see south peaks at 1900m, but could wind coming off some ridges around 1700-1800.

Snowpack

In the pit location we found 14 cm of wind slab that failed ECT3 (SC) and propagated across the extended column test. 33 cm down we got ECT16 (RP) that propagated halfway across the column, but didn't react further. There is also a layer of rounded/faceted particles around 63-68.
